Director of Quality Control, Physical Asset Optimization (Senior RCA Manager)
U.S. Bank is seeking a Quality Control Director with proven executive leadership experience to contribute toward the success of one of our largest and most complex initiatives focused on Physical Asset Optimization (PAO).
The Quality Control Director collaborates with executives, senior leaders, process owners, risk management and audit to ensure that formal procedures and controls are in place to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with existing laws, regulations and policies.
Essential Functions:
• Establishes and maintains appropriate systems of risk management and internal controls to support business objectives, maintain acceptable risk appetite/tolerances and comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Provides assurance of the efficacy of the business line compliance with Enterprise Risk Appetite Statement and Enterprise Risk Management Policy
• Expert understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services experience, regulatory trends; and product, policy, operations and procedures that impact the line of business.
• Self-identifying issues & gaps and effectively owning risk management and driving solutions.
• Collaborating with executives, senior leaders, process owners, risk management and audit to ensure that formal procedures and controls are in place to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with existing laws, regulations and policies to minimize regulatory exposure.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• 15 or more years of experience in an applicable risk management environment
• Applicable certifications
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Expert understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business.
• Advance relationship and negotiation skills working with senior and executive management, and handling stressful situations.
• Expert understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
• Responsible for managing reporting, testing/monitoring, and exception/resolution activities.
• Experience working with regulatory and other agencies.
• Bachelor’s degree, applicable certifications and at least fifteen years applicable experience.
