Performance Analyst
We are seeking a Performance Analyst to support multiple types of investment performance reporting and analytics for a broad range of Fidelity portfolios. You will be responsible for responding to inquiries about performance results and will work with various data acquisition and accounting teams to improve performance data quality. Acting as a performance subject matter expert, you will participate in new product development initiatives with advisors and the investment product group to ensure there is adequate performance support when new strategies come to market. This role is also responsible for interacting with and educating all levels of the performance organization, and implementing team improvements. You will facilitate discussions with the technology team and other stakeholders to define business requirements for performance related departmental projects.
The Team
The Performance Services team responds to investment staff inquiries and supports their information needs in all aspects of performance, attribution, and risk measurement. The group is responsible for daily monitoring of portfolio, index and third party data, and validation of performance results ensuring data quality for internal users and downstream deliverables. The team produces daily, periodic (monthly/quarterly) and ad hoc performance reports which decompose portfolio returns on an absolute and relative basis. Our results are used in marketing material, public reporting and portfolio management.
The Expertise You Have
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 1+ years of experience in fund accounting or performance related environment
• Experience with Excel
• Willingness to pursue CFA or CIPM.
