Occupancy Planning Manager, JLL Planning Operations Team Lead,
Menlo Park, CA
Note: This role is for candidates focused on space planning management within a corporate workplace planning setting. This role is not for design-focused candidates.
Currently, we are seeking an Occupancy Planning Manager (JLL Planning Operations / Team Lead) to join our Occupancy Planning practice dedicated at the client site.
Serves as the senior managing resource – the single point of contact for the client team and acting operations manager to the team of JLL resources, leading Sourcing, Learning & Development, Performance Management, and providing Space Planning, Furniture Planning, and CAD/CAFM operational oversight, in collaboration with internal Client managers.
Supports consistency in planning processes, procedures and protocols, in the delivery of workplace resourcing.
Serves as direct manager to the JLL team.
Provides a single point of contact for all account issues, as well as a platform to escalate issues, and internal Client administrative onboarding support;
Drives operational excellence.
Manages staffing as appropriate per the approved Scope of Work.
Ensures consistency in delivery of services; provides coaching, review of deliverables.
Supports space planning tasks as required.
Coordinates the delivery of a quarterly business report and living operational playbook(s);
Participates in planning meetings hosted by the client’s Planning Director/point of contact;
Understands the Client portfolio within scope and supports process development against JLL best practices.
Provides consistency in delivery of services, by providing training, guidelines, and review of deliverables;
Provides the Jones Lang LaSalle client relationship managers with progress and status reports, support with invoices, and employee updates;
Facilitates necessary communication between planning staff, and other Jones Lang LaSalle team members as well as account real estate staff; and
Manages all planning staff, and conducts performance evaluations
Leads Monthly Account Meetings, and additional team meetings when appropriate
To ensure accurate reporting of information, and foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations, communication channels will exist with:
All workplace planning staff, and Jones Lang LaSalle Occupancy Planning Regional Management team.
Cross collaborate with other real estate functions, including but not limited to Project Management, Facility Management and Transactions, and JLL Digital (Technology – CAFM/IWMS) Solutions.
Education / Years of Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Architecture, Construction Management, Commercial Design or related field with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a corporate real estate environment.
Background in Corporate Real Estate Planning and Project Management, Construction Management, or Architecture desirable. MBA preferred.
Previous experience in tactical and strategic space / occupancy planning required.
Project management experience with interior office renovations, move migration planning, process improvement, and the real estate life cycle required.
Familiarity with alternative workplace strategy programming and change management a plus.
Experience in the tech industry a plus.
