Associate, Occupancy Planning - Planning Analyst, Menlo Park, CA
Note: This role is for candidates focused on data analysis within a corporate workplace planning setting. This role is not for design-focused candidates.
Currently, we are seeking an Associate, Occupancy Planning (Space Planning Data Analyst) to join our Occupancy Planning practice dedicated at the client site. The Space Planning Analyst supports the Workplace Planning team with maintaining building level re-stack plans as well as campus wide migration plans.
Works closely with the Workplace Planning Managers and Space Planners on space data integrity and move activity alignment across the real estate portfolio.
Support the development of processes to track team moves across the Bay Area real estate portfolio at the building level detail.
Collect information from various data sources, such as headcount data, existing seat and future seat capacity, to build a comprehensive view of current re-stacking plans.
Additional responsibilities include using the data collected to produce reports and visual outputs that highlight key areas for review and action by the Workplace Planning team. The Planning Analyst team function will receive direction from the Client’s Workplace Portfolio Manager, and will work closely with Planning Managers and Space Planners to ensure data accuracy and alignment of team moves activity data.
Responsibilities
Develop process for tracking team moves across the Bay Area real estate portfolio at the building level detail.
Collecting information from various data sources, such as headcount data, existing seat and future seat capacity, in order to build a comprehensive view of current re-stacking plans.
Create reports and visuals that summarize the current portfolio migration plan and highlights any discrepancies or areas for further review by the Workplace Planning team.
Work with the Workplace Planning Managers and Space Planners to ensure data integrity and move alignment across the real estate portfolio.
Participate in development and integration of data tracking tools to improve efficiency.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years in Data Analysis or direct experience in an analytical role in Real Estate / Space Planning is preferred.
Proficient Microsoft Excel skills with strong attention to detail, excellent organization and communication skills.
Advanced level Excel skills (e.g. ability to create & understand formulas – index, match, vlookup; create graphics/visuals; pivot tables).
Working knowledge of Tableau, Excel VBA macros, and SQL preferred.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and synthesize information from multiple data sources.
Experience with creating a collaborative headcount report that can be accessed or edited by multiple users at once.
Undergraduate degree in Business, a related field, or equivalent. with up to three years of experience in a corporate environment.
Experience in the tech industry a plus.
