Senior Credit Risk Analyst
Opportunity to join Fidelity Investments Credit Risk Management Group in Boston providing support and oversight of Fidelity Capital Markets businesses.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting,
• CFA or CFA Candidacy helpful but not required
• 3-5 plus years of related credit experience.
• Completion of credit training program or equivalent instructional training is desired
The Purpose of Your Role
The Sr Credit Risk Analyst is responsible to assess and evaluate the credit worthiness of the institutional and broker dealer trading counterparts of Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) as well as monitor the credit related exposure to these counterparts. These evaluations include a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the counterpart which takes into account the financial condition of the firm, the products and markets the firm is engaged in, its investment strategy and strength of the management team. The Sr Credit Risk Analyst also takes into consideration the existing or proposed business activity with FCM and evaluates if there is any reputational risk in doing business with the counterpart. The Sr Credit Risk Analyst is responsible to monitor trading line usage for the counterparts assigned to them, identify issues, and escalate issues with proposed solutions to the Vice President Credit Risk as needed. The Sr Credit Risk Analyst is expected to build relationships with the trading desks, middle and back offices, Treasury, and Regulatory Accounting in order to resolve issues and support the needs of the Capital Markets businesses

• Experience with Bloomberg and S&P Global Market Intelligence (SNL) is a plus.

• Performing a written financial and risk analysis on all new and existing trading counterparts within their portfolio and establishing appropriate trading guidelines based on this analysis. Your primary area of responsibility will be to review Broker Dealers and Banks. These reviews will consist of understanding the financial condition and trading strategy of the respective counterparty.
• Monitoring the daily credit related exposure of the trading counterparts assigned to you. This includes utilizing various financial tools to assess, monitor, and measure daily counterparty trading activity.
• Providing essential credit risk reporting for FCM and Senior Management on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Maintaining and updating credit profiles for clients/counterparts.
• Participating in the development/enhancement and testing of risk management systems.
• Working on special ad hoc projects as assigned by management.
