Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Advanced Digital Technology and Analytics service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Attend workshops to determine customer data needs in the area of third and fourth party risk management.
• Develop a conceptual, logical, and physical data model using customer-supplied data modeling tool that represents data needs.
• Forward engineer the physical data model into a customer-supplied database.
• Map the database tables’ columns to existing customer data systems as source of data and identify gaps where existing data systems cannot supply necessary data. Where fields do map, identify transformations that are needed, which will serve as the design specifications for ETL.
• Develop the ETL using customer-supplied ETL tool.
• Implement customer reports using customer-supplied business intelligence tool.
• Perform testing and deploy to production.
• Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Qualifications
• 5+ years’ hands-on, full lifecycle development of data warehouse/business intelligence solutions and understanding of relevant best practices
• Project management experience
• Experience with requirements and visioning workshops
• Expertise with data modeling (3NF and dimensional)
• Expertise in other data management areas, such as data quality, data governance, or data modeling
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
• U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
• Travel may be required.
• Coach and mentor junior staff members.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
