Job Summary:
Perform moderately complex operational transactions for Syndicated Loans within Wholesale & Investment, Regional and Commercial Banking. Must be able to multi-task. Assist in controlling the Bank's risk exposure while providing excellent customer service.
Major Responsibilities:
• Accurately process significant volumes such as but not limited to, payments, advances, daily maintenance on the loan accounting systems i.e., Automated Financial System (AFS), RPI/MTX, and other internal Bank applications. Interpret requests for boarding new and renewed loans and determine the structural hierarchy.
• Ensure modifications to codes are processed accurately to maintain optimum data integrity.
• Provide the Bank's liaisons and lenders information regarding the borrowers liability.
• Resolve accrual discrepancies.
• Determine if applicable the cause of deficient payments for interest, fees, and principal.
• Anticipate, plan and independently prioritize assignments to comply with the department's service level commitment.
• Perform steps to certify the Bank's general ledger to the loan accounting system.
• Analyze and monitor exception reports to avoid unnecessary bank exposure.
• Provide operational support to the unit in the absence of the supervisor.
• Ensure tasks performed meet regulatory requirements issued for Sarbanes-Oxley, FDICIA, Auditing and Bank policy.
Qualifications
Additional Information:
• Typically requires a high school diploma or G.E.D and 6 to 7 years of experience in technical experience.
• Excellent PC skills required especially Microsoft office and Excel.
• Excellent mathematical ability needed to perform multi-step calculations.
• Well-developed written and communication skills.
• Familiar with complex loan documentation and Bank policy.
• Must be capable of performing multiple tasks on a regular basis.
