The Tax Manager in our Healthcare group is responsible for developing and managing client
and projects while delivering high quality service to the firm's health care industry clients. This
position is responsible for understanding fundamental accounting practices and health care concepts to support
the business needs of clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, practice consultants, and shareholders to ensure both the firm's and client's expectations are met
• Develop and maintain accountability for client assignments
• Recognize significant problems in client operations while identifying risk management issues and developing recommendations for solutions
• Takes a lead in implementing health care specific concepts and awareness of health care regulations
• Support the needs of clients including financial and tax planning services to assist clients in achieving their goals
• Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve assignment objectives
• Leverage industry and market knowledge to develop and sell creative solutions for clients and prospects
• Lead the proposal process, manage the assignment budget and profitability, prepare billings and assist in collections
• Use advanced knowledge of accounting to prepare, examine, review or analyze accounting records, tax returns, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Provide high level tax compliance and financial reporting services to various businesses, individual clients and government entities
• Perform complex research projects, apply tax statutes & regulations relating to client taxation
• Review and update of tax projections/planning
• Serve as a consultant beyond accounting and tax
• Continue to grow and expand key referral sources to maintain a strong network of resources within and outside the firm
• Maintain and enhance the healthcare niche formalized pipeline of prospects
• Continue to hone project management and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred with Expertise in Healthcare
• CPA, CFP, EA, CHBC, or LNHA license
• 5+ years of previous experience as a Tax Manager or Practice Consultant - Health Services or equivalent
