GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
This position will perform and deliver on routine Business Analysis assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge within the Business Analysis team.
Will collaborate with business stakeholders to define and validate business solutions that meet the needs, goals and objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
• Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
• Identifies and communicates to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality.
• Collaborates with key internal and/or external stakeholders to elicit business issues, determine root cause(s), and capture business needs by leveraging and applying knowledge.
• Develops business requirements for various departments within Group Protection.
• Using structured requirements process, clearly articulates, documents and validates business requirements.
• Coordinates with appropriate internal and/or external stakeholders to assess and ensure solutions meet business needs
• Collaborates effectively with appropriate internal and/or external stakeholders on issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned standard projects.
• Validates that the solution meets the business need by developing acceptance criteria and a plan to evaluate.
• Determines or seeks help to determine the most appropriate response to identified problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization.
• Provides research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to management or project leader.
• Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
• Facilitates changes to the organization through the analysis, design, and implementation of the business processes that achieve business objectives.
• May provide testing support as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Business or Information Technology (Minimum Required)
• 1 - 3+ Years experience in business analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• Travel Type: National Domestic
• Travel Amount: up to 10%
