The Trust Operations Control Specialist I will perform control functions and monitoring, prepare reconciliations and provide research across applicable Trust systems and applications. This role will ensure that all functions performed in Trust Operations are in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Principal Accountabilities:
Prepare and maintain reconcilements for all Cash and Security positions, representing multiple DDA, Custody and Internal accounts, including monitoring and troubleshooting exceptions to determine timely resolution.
Responsible for the tracking and payment of all Federal and State withholding, including the preparation and submission of required Tax filings for both Federal and State Withholding.
Responsible for entry and maintenance of all Retirement Distributions, ensuring accuracy of both payment and tax reporting.
Responsible for both balancing and production of all client statements.
Responsible for posting, reconciling and allocation of all client fees.
Engaged in continuous review of department processes and procedures in order to identify potential improvements, system enhancements and risk mitigation opportunities.
Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 1 year banking/financial industry experience
or
Associate's Degree with 3 years banking/financial industry experience
or
High School Diploma or GED with 5 years banking/financial industry
Preferred Qualifications:
PC skills to include Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Understanding of Accounting principals
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to prioritize and make decisions
Ability to multitask
Effective team member
Problem solving and analytical skills
General knowledge of Trust Accounting and Securities Operations
