Assurant has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst (PeopleSoft)!
With limited supervision, the PeopleSoft Financials Business Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, updating and running nVision reports on an ongoing basis. The Analyst will have functional knowledge of all PeopleSoft Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Billing, Expense and Procurement and provides support to TWG’s Global Finance Dept. The PeopleSoft Financial Business Analyst also works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to gather information, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to nVision reports, business processes, information systems, and other technology initiatives. This role also provides expertise in identifying and evaluating requirements, testing and configuring PeopleSoft Financials modules, and planning and executing system, integration and user acceptance testing. This position is critical to TWG’s month end process and ensuring the general ledger data integrity.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for all nVision reports including working with users to create new reports, update existing reports for changes, maintaining existing reports and running reports on a regular, ongoing basis. (50%).
• Performs as a liaison between global financial users and IT application and server support teams. Troubleshoots reported application functional issues concerning, global users, all PeopleSoft modules, reports and batches and mitigates related issues. Communicates user prioritizations to management and IT resources. Manages user testing and ensures formal user sign-off. (20%).
• Monitors the timely loading, editing, and posting of existing/new internal and external financial interfaces including ADP and foreign currency exchange rates (10%).
• Participates in financial system projects and module rollouts as requested by management and acts as a liaison between Finance and IT on those projects. Performs as a technical resource on PeopleSoft application/module rollouts to all global users (15%).
• Maintains global production configuration documentation on all modules. Oversees global disaster recovery. Provide issues log to management (5%).
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance complemented with Information Technology, as a plus.
• 5+ years of strong functional experience as a subject matter expert with PeopleSoft Financials modules and/or nVision reporting software.
Preferred Skills, Experience and Certifications
• Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft Finance application modules, as well as, allocations and EPM.
• Experience with Multi Currency a plus.
• Insurance terminology knowledge and/or insurance accounting experience a plus.
• Possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of accounting/finance principals.
• Demonstrates job ownership and a sense of urgency when completing assignments, prioritizes tasks as needed and puts in the effort necessary to complete assignments on time consistently.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to work will all levels of staff and management within the organization.
