Job Title: Card Services – Reconcilement Specialist
Functional Title: Card Services – Reconcilement Specialist
Reports To: AVP - Settlement Operations Manager
Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions
Job Group Category: Non-exempt
Work Hours: Monday – Friday (8:00am – 5:00 pm) Overtime as needed
Primary Purpose: (Summary of major reason this job exists)
Reconcilement Specialist is responsible for performing daily, weekly and quarterly settlement and reporting activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned)
• Assist with various balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and reconcilement processes
• Process billing invoices, checks, and appropriate journal entries
• Review aging items report and provide an update on any aged items
• Researches and resolves reconcilement inquiries and/or outages in a timely manner
• Review and clear transaction adjustment items
• Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation and data
• Report any irregularities and/or variances identified during the review of reconcilement accounts
• Performs related duties as assigned by Manager
Job Specifications: (Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job)
• High school education or equivalent – some college experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment meeting deadlines and production goals
• Ability to apply sound judgment utilizing problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a competent and professional manner
• Proficient with computers including Microsoft Word and Excel
