Job TitleSr Financial Analyst
What does a great Senior Financial Analyst do?
In this position, you will support the Enterprise Sales Finance team through financial and business-related expense analysis and research. We are a fast-paced team, focused on providing insight to our internal clients through creative and thoughtful analysis and reporting. You will be asked to maintain flexibility, quickly understand internal client needs, and work towards becoming a subject matter expert for our sales and finance partners. In return, you will be provided opportunities to develop your skills as a Senior Financial Analyst while learning Fiserv’s business.
• Support the senior Sales Leaders through quarterly reporting, budget setting, forecasting and a variety of ad hoc analyses
• Lead the Global Sales Organization commissions capitalization and reconciliation process working closely with the Sales Compensation team
• Partner with Human Resources to ensure alignment with sales team hiring strategy and budget
• Participate in month end closing process including preparation of various journal entries
• Create hypotheses and analyses to identify and recommend business process improvements that result in improved company performance
• Conduct special financial and business-related studies and cooperate with other departments in preparing analyses
• Clearly communicate financial information to peers, management, and other key stakeholders, including C-level presentations
• Maintain the highest integrity in professional work products and relationships
• Work with Business Units to develop and implement best practices
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Corporate Policy
• Prepare ad hoc analyses appropriate for all levels of the organization
Basic Qualifications for Consideration
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum # years’ experience required: 5 years professional experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to make decisions based on precedent and solve problems using sound professional judgment, experience, and independent research
• Intellectual curiosity
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data, clearly inform management of significant findings, and make recommendations to improve company performance
• Problem solving is expected and frequent. Must be able to define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
• Prior budgeting experience preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• MBA preferred
Travel required: <10%
