Term employment is an employment status in which the Bank hires an individual for a job function within the Bank, receiving all the benefits of a regular status employee, except separation pay programs, merit increases, job posting capabilities or holding a corporate title. If you are converted to a regular employment status position or are hired in a different regular employment status position within the Bank, the time worked as a term employee will count towards all benefits.
We are looking for a qualified candidate to work in our FX Operations department for a period of 1 year not to exceed 2 years.
Summary:
Reporting to an Operations Supervisor within Foreign Exchange Operations (FX), the FX Specialist provides operational support to the Foreign Exchange Advisory area. Typical duties include handling, confirming, processing, accounting and settlement of purchase and sale foreign exchange transactions in various currencies and a wide variety of FX business products.
Major Responsibilities:
• Confirm, process and settle purchase and sale of Foreign Exchange
transactions in select currencies and a wide variety of FX products such
as Foreign Currency Time Deposit, Foreign Currency Demand Account,
Foreign Currency loans, Spots, Forwards and Option Deals.
• Enter and Release Wire payments, messages and telex through the
Global Funds Transfer System.
• Provide assistance and act as liaison between the FX Advisory team,
other internal business units within the Bank, correspondent banks
and customers while exhibiting positive attitude towards servicing goals.
This will include complex trade and settlement discussions.
• Research out of balance conditions; investigate incoming and
outgoing compensation claims and overdraft charges.
• Escalate to FX Advisory and Operations Management any issues that
are considered high risk and a potential for possible loss to the bank.
• Enter and release wire payments, messages and telex through the
Global Funds Transfer System.
