Model Risk Officer, Senior
Position Duties:
Lead the ongoing assessment of model risk management framework to support enterprise-wide risk management. Lead team of validation officers performing validations of credit stress test and allowance models to ensure regulatory compliance. Develop planning documents for validations of credit stress test and allowance models. Assist Model Risk Director in development of governance framework for Model Risk Management framework. Respond to internal audit and Federal Reserve formal inquiries and findings. Apply current expected credit loss (CECL) standards to bank's model risk management framework, and set standards for all time-series credit models. Conduct independent model testing for conceptual soundness to assess quality of model design and construction, documentation, and evidence supporting methods and variables used for model. Assess data quality and assumptions relevance, including investigating accuracy and consistency of model data, evaluating qualitative information and judgment utilized in model development, and impact of assumptions/variables on model output to ensure reasonable representation of bank's portfolio/market conditions. Evaluate and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory rules and banking industry practices, including compliance with SR 11-7 and CECL.

Qualifications
Must have a U.S. Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or closely-related technical field, and four (4) years of experience as a Database Programmer Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, Model Risk Analyst or closely-related statistical analysis position. Two (2) years of experience must include experience performing high level quantitative and financial analysis; computer-based complex financial modeling; distinguishing between tactical and strategic initiatives; and challenging and resolving financial concepts and consequences.
