The Field Strategic Services (FSS) group within MSWM is responsible for transformational platform strategies that provide better tools for our Financial Advisors, support staff, and our clients. The Service Re-Engineering Team identifies strategic opportunities by assessing the operating model of existing processes within Wealth Management in order to improve efficiency and client service. The Team will drive the execution strategy of various business initiatives by developing solutions to complex problems, liaising with Senior Leadership, and tracking metrics to monitor the success of each initiative.
The candidate will work within the team to lead the development of business plans, which includes identifying new business opportunities, analyzing cost / benefit analyses, conducting competitive analysis, and solving complex problems.
The position will have interaction with the Senior Leadership of MSWM and functional leads across the firm.
The role requires an individual with strong analytical, project management, communication, and problem solving skills who is capable of multitasking and collaborating with various business partners and other members of the team.
• Drive business initiatives within a small focused team environment by
developing both strategic and tactical solutions to complex business problems
• Assist in the proposal, design and implementation of new centralized functions
• Support the collection and production of persuasive, data informed
recommendations to drive insight and help senior management make informed
decisions
• Combine a curiosity for understanding underlying causes with advanced data
visualization tools to produce clear and concise documentation and reporting
• Assist in creating Business Requirement Documents which drive Technology
solutions by liaising with Wealth Management Technology partners to execute
the business vision.
• Assist with project management responsibilities including conceptualizing
project timelines, reporting of key milestones and prioritizing tasks for
stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or other related field
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in wealth management, management
consulting or careers where a similar skill set is developed and demonstrated
• Seeking a well-rounded candidate that has experience with project execution,
business strategy, business intelligence/data analytics, and/or project
management
• Fundamental understanding of the financial services industry and wealth
management business
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability to create process flows and develop strategic business plans /
requirements
• Strong project management, organization, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage ambiguity and bring focus with recommendations on solving
tactical and strategic challenges
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, both independently and as part of
a team while under strict and changing deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills - freely develops networks, builds consensus, and
prioritizes effectively
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with data analytic
tools
