Kearney is currently seeking a Manager to join our Crystal City, Virginia team. This Manager will help develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction, demonstrate proficiency with information technology and data analytics concepts and apply them to client situations, as well as identify and effectively communicate accounting and auditing matters to Senior Managers and Principals.
Responsibilities
• Maintaining relationships and communicating with key client personnel to understand business operations, processes, and functions
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations
• Ability to bridge the gap between logistics procedures and financial accounting processes
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Determine if compliance with policies and selected law/regulations are met
• Ability to navigate a transaction database and determine potential issues or inappropriate posting
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Logistics or Business Management. Acceptable substitutions for the Master's degree are one of the following: CPA, CISA, CDFM, CGFM or PMP
• A minimum of 6 years of federal financial management experience to include 3 years of federal accounting
• An understanding of the Army's business transformation and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment
• Experience in providing assessments and improvements of financial statement auditability plans
• Experience in providing audit infrastructure support for a large-scale audit, (size and scope of the Army), to interact with the external financial statement auditors and provide audit liaison support
• Use of commercial off the shelf (COTS) tools, techniques and templates to complete audit readiness assessments and implement recommendations
• Active Interim Secret Security Clearance (or higher) is required
