The Sales Training Director, EB, will work closely with senior EB leadership and front-line sales managers to ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales force. Acts as an internal consultant to identify regional and local manager’s sales training and coaching needs. Certifies local sales leaders in coaching and sales management skills. Identifies coaching skill gaps at the local and regional sales team level and leverages SFD training to close them. Builds and adapts programs that local sales leaders will deliver to their sales teams. Determines training requirements by studying sales and marketing strategic plans and current sales results; conferring with sales executives; reviewing results of local sales leader coaching, and evaluating training effectiveness. Trains and certifies local sales leaders to themselves deliver training. Monitors Path to Validation and other program’s participant’s results and identifies strategies and plans to ensure participants meet their objectives.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Consult internally with senior and front-line management to identify sales team’s learning needs
• Build strategies and plans to support EB sales training by local managers in the US, and VB in Canada
• Broker SFD and outside resources, leverage SFD learning systems, and coach and train local management to support their own sales team success
• Monitor progress of Path to Validation and other learning program participants, ensuring local managers actively coach, train, and provide reporting on participants; remediate poor performers
• Deliver instructor-led training and web-based training
• Run national and regional sales contests that accomplish sales growth and improve leader’s effectiveness at running/managing sales teams
Experience and Education
Required
• Bachelor’s degree
• Validated EB producer with at least 4 years of EB sales experience
• Ability to be certified as a sales coach and sales trainer within 90 days of hire date
Preferred
• 3 – 5 years of sales training experience
• Independent consulting experience
