Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) is seeking a senior market research professional to lead our Voice of the Client program.
This individual will be responsible for:
Represent the “client lens” in decision making
Coordinating all aspects of client research across lines business
Lending the development and execution of the annual learning agenda
Creating and maintaining the “foundational knowledge” across research studies
Synthesize and communicate relentlessly the “so what” of the research program
The right candidate will cultivate consultative-based relationships, and work as a strategic partner to senior leaders throughout SVB, to support decision making with powerful insights. The person will also partner closely with colleagues in the Client Experience (CX) team, to identify and test opportunities to enhance the client experience.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in managing research and analysis functions, and a proven track record of partnering with senior leaders to solve complex strategic issues. The candidate must be results-oriented, client focused, have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a track record of driving results in a highly matrix organization.
Qualifications
• BA/BS required and a MBA is a plus.
• At least 10 years of marketing research experience, with a level of proficiency with all aspects of research
• Al lest 3 years leading an insights function
• A consulting or strategy background a plus
• Demonstrated ability to design and coordinate enterprise-level voice of the customer programs
• Demonstrated ability is distilling research findings from multiple sources into actionable insights
• Strong communication and presentation skills to build understanding and consensus through both verbal and written forums
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills
• Understanding of experience design and the design-thinking approach
• Experience in B2B, financial services, or in the innovation sector a plus
