Job Description
JOB BRIEF (PURPOSE):This is an entry level position working with underwriting in reviewing documents, pipeline reports and communicating with the Key Centers working to gather additional documentation needed in the underwriting process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Recognize and review of all information provided from applicant for loan processing including financial documents (pay stubs, W2’s, retirement award letters, tax returns, K-1’s, etc…), personal financial statement and homeowners insurance policy
• Recognize and review additional documentation including trust agreements, power of attorneys, divorce decrees, etc…
• Performs a check of incoming documents to insure they are acceptable per KeyBank’s guidelines
• Works directly with underwriting team as well as MLO, KeyCenters & Sales Support to resolve any documentation issues.
• Communicate with Underwriters, MLO, KeyCenters & Sales Support via phone & ACAP’s in a professional manner.
• Review MSP, ALS and HOGAN information as required
• Perform administrative duties in support of activities related to Underwriting
• Queue management focused processing
• Phone & email communication processed in a professional and productive method
• Compliance with all regulatory requirements, including accurate GMI reporting and Dodd Frank procedures
• Assigned report review
• Testing and Compliance review as assigned
• Attend loan review meetings as required
• Ensure all Clean Desk procedures are followed
• Compliance Testing completed as required/assigned
• Participation in Department Training
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Candidate must:
• Have a college degree or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills
• Possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment in a highly regulated and ever changing consumer bank segment
• Have ability and confidence to make a decision based on their review of specific data
• Have keen attention to detail and time management skills to effectively process work flow
• A basic understanding of personal financial documents like W-2, tax returns, and accounting statements
• Be proficient in Excel, Word and use of a personal computer
• Prior financial or customer services environment and knowledge of credit scoring and consumer lending regulations is a plus
