As an Associate Manager in the Market Research and Insights department you will be responsible for coordinating and executing qualitative and quantitative research projects. You will work with research suppliers and internal business partners as you plan and field primary research initiatives involving survey and interviewing methodologies.
You will be required to analyze research data (qualitative, quantitative, and secondary sources), report research findings, and make insightful and actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate is research oriented, curious about customer/consumer attitudes and behaviors, and has demonstrated the ability to tell a story with data and information.
Qualifications – candidate must have:
• Strong analytic problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies (e.g., surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to understand business objectives and develop research initiatives to address them
• Capacity to plan, execute, and complete a wide variety of projects in a timely manner
• Aptitude for managing details without sacrificing broader strategic perspective
• Ability to synthesize information into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort and confidence working with cross-functional teams
• Good interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork both inside and outside the research team
Role-Specific Responsibilities
• Meet with business partners in marketing and other departments to identify business issues and assess research needs
• Plan and manage execution of quantitative/qualitative market research studies to validate hypotheses
• Manage relationships with external research partners
• Explore a range of existing primary and secondary research sources to identify relevant trends and findings
• Interpret findings from new and existing research and develop implications and recommendations
• Write and present clear and concise research reports
• Become trusted resource for business partners’ information needs
Job Qualifications
Experience, Education, Skills
• Bachelor's degree in business, social science, or related is required; graduate degree a plus
• 5+ years of consumer insights experience in both qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies (e.g., online surveys, focus groups, etc.)
• Must be able to very effectively manage time and juggle multiple projects and priorities
• Excellent report writing and storytelling skills are a must
• Candidate must have proficient computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel; survey software and SPSS a plus)
• Position is not a people manager role currently
