Business Development Executive, Senior, Bank Solutions
What makes an excellent Business Development Executive, Senior, Bank Solutions?
As a Business Development Executive, Senior within our Bank Solutions team, you will establish new core relationships from within an assigned named prospects list of non-Fiserv core financial institutions ($1b - $10b in assets) that are located throughout the country. You will be responsible for growing an overall portfolio of relationships and future potential associated revenue.
To be a successful Business Development Executive, Senior you can look forward to:
• Developing and maintaining strong strategic relationships with key decision makers within the large banking space that will eventually grow into core opportunities in 12-24 months.
• We need you to utilize your heavy prospecting capabilities as your primary responsibility will be to establish relationships where little to none exist with Fiserv today.
• You will build and enhance strong relationships and communication at the C-level, articulating the Fiserv value proposition, with other key executives, key decision makers and influences and act as a trusted advisor to senior executives within the prospective client organizations.
• We need you to provide product and solution subject matter expertise through the assessment and understanding of customer needs and requirements which will allow you to determine fit of specific products with prospects needs.
• We also want you to continue to analyze and keep abreast of significant market changes (trends, issues, M&A activity, and corporate developments).
• You will also develop a long term contact list to continue to fill outer year pipelines.
• Perform other duties as required
Qualifications for consideration:
• 5 years + of deep Financial Services/Banking expertise including demonstrable contact list within financial institutions.
• 5 years + delivering sales and account management experience, as well as prior experience utilizing a consultative selling approach.
• Experience working in a large, matrix organization with hundreds of products/services.
• Demonstrated ability to assess potential sales opportunities and develop value propositions.
• Proven prospecting capabilities and territory planning and management.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate, understand and deliver corporate, strategic and product specific messages
• In-depth understanding of customer goals, objectives, strategies, competitive situation and clients’ decision making processes
• Understands the sales process, development and qualification of a business need, identification of target clients, and favorable positioning of products.
• Assesses client’s business needs and applies business impact model methodology to justify Fiserv’s solution to solve business problems
• Articulates solutions in terms of ROI to the client and sells business value
• Demonstrated sales competencies – financial business acumen, executive relations, competitive selling, persuasion, sales planning, presentation, targeting, sales call execution, closing, executive credibility, negotiation, consultative selling, relational partnering, appointment getting, and value creation.
• Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
• Bachelor's degree
• Prior knowledge of Fiserv's product offerings.
• Ability to develop and maintain long term relationships.
