Description
This internship is part of the First Tennessee Bank's Centralized Commercial Underwriting Utility (C2U2) department.
Position is located in Nashville, TN.
This Internship will provide:
• Knowledge of the company’s First Power culture, vision and mission statements

Our Internship program is a 9 week PAID program that starts on Monday, June 3, 2019 and runs through Friday, August 2, 2019.
HOURS:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Average 40 hours per week
Value for the Intern: The Intern will gain exposure to credit policy and lending, exception tracking and regulatory reporting.
Job Description:
The Intern will review, verify and QC reports for lending exceptions - will involve reviewing approval documents; system inputs and discussions with underwriters. Documenting and correcting any discrepancies.
Extensive excel work on productivity, lending and analytical exception reports, sorting, filtering...
Working with Moody's information on Municipals - creating a template of rated entities to be used for grade comparisons - involves downloading and tabling data based upon entity type and Public ratings.

Preferred Finance or Business Major
Qualifications:
• Ability to use all Microsoft Office 2007 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) Preferred Marketing or Business Major.
• Good organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong written/verbal communication skills and must be comfortable communicating with all levels of management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on simultaneous projects or initiatives. Must be a proficient multi-tasker and comfortable taking direction from multiple people.
• Good analysis, research, and problem solving skills
• Experience with general office administrative and clerical tasks
