The Senior Director of Channel Product Solutionswill lead the market assessment and development of product solutions for Netspend’s most strategic partners and client prospects in the Direct to Consumer channel. This business unit is responsible for direct response marketing (both online and offline) across traditional prepaid, fintech and affinity segments. This is a high-visibility role with the opportunity to interact with executive level internal and external business leaders. This person will play a key role in the Direct Business Development team and will work closely with Product, Account Management, Analytics, Marketing and Software Development across the Netspend business.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has demonstrated success at analyzing business needs, defining a growth strategy roadmap and designing / building product solutions that leverage traditional and emerging payments technologies. This role will also be focused on the development of sales strategy, business proposals and RFP responses as well as the Direct product roadmap.
The job requires strong business development skills, employing analytics & business intelligence to determine market needs, experience in defining value propositions and product requirements, then working closely with product, operations, business and engineering teams to translate those requirements into successfully launched product solutions. This role is supported by project management, marketing analytics and finance team members to aid in delivery.
Prior work experience in the Fintech space, or with a prepaid / stored value processor, credit card company, customer loyalty company, payments or network provider, or Money Services Business (MSB) preferred.
Responsibilities
• Develop deep understanding of the needs of our partners, their customers, and the general consumer market and deliver large-scale innovations that increase sales or extend tenure.
• Analyze customer and market behavior to provide competitive analysis for market requirements documents and launch plans
• Work with Product Management to collaborate on growth strategies, assess new opportunities and to define value propositions for new solutions.
• Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering
• Supports sales team in selling products to clients and partners
• Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development and marketing of new solutions and to drive growth in product usage and adoption
• Create financial models to evaluate opportunities and determine ROI
• Analyze potential vendor and third party relationships and, where necessary, manage existing relationships.
• Collaborate with the applications development team to define clear product requirements in an Agile environment
Skills/Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or business; MBA preferred
• 8-10 years of payments industry experience in Business Development
• 8-10 years in product management, business analyst or similar role
• Demonstrated success leading strategy from concept to launch
• Ability to see the big-picture/vision, with the drive to make that vision a reality
• Experience presenting to and influencing all levels of the organization including C-level executives
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills, and experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Must enjoy spending time in the market (with customers and clients) to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market
• Experience authoring clear and actionable requirements in a high-urgency, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to statistically analyze large volumes of product performance data to deliver actionable, business-relevant insights
• Ability to travel
