Job Description:
The HR Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated global or regional business units. The role communicates needs proactively to ensure fully integrated HR solutions, and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the client group’s culture and employees to achieve business results.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the single point of contact for managers and senior leaders within the Technology organization
• Work with business leaders to gain and maximize a full understanding of the client’s objectives, goals and priorities; deliver HR services, programs and products to meet needs while maintaining exceptional client focus
• Drive the delivery of HR strategy and strive to improve working relationships, build engagement, increase productivity, manage performance and attract and retain talent
• Build strong client relationships and partner with key stakeholders in the identification, escalation, risk mitigation and resolution of employee relations issues
• Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers with a process improvement mindset to improve working relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
• Partner and collaborate with HR colleagues to deliver HR strategies and people plans
• Develop, facilitate and execute change management and organizational development activities
• Partner with recruiting to ensure client group / regional alignment with annual headcount planning and strategy
• Manage the annual talent assessment process for assigned client groups / regions; track actions and ensure client delivers an accountable action plan
• Implement and support Dimensional’s performance and rewards strategy, reinforcing a performance culture while optimizing the reward spend
• Support clients in the execution of Dimensional’s performance management, talent review, and succession planning; drive ongoing follow-up and actions
• Conduct organizational effectiveness assessments to identify redundancies; develop structure, business processes, solutions and metrics to enable client groups/region to achieve targets
• Support the business with organizational change and development, influencing leaders to address complex organizational design issues where required for business success
• Maintain compliance with federal and state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipate legislation, enforce adherence to requirements, and advise HR leadership on recommended actions
• Support special projects and initiatives for Human Resources on an ad hoc basis
• May involve training, mentoring and/or supervising staff, which could include delegating tasks, delivering feedback and monitoring team’s performance based on key metrics
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 5 - 8 years of Human Resources experience; SPHR or GPHR certification preferred
• Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field a plus
• Experience working in a leadership capacity within a global organization
• Asset Management, Financial Services or Technology industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated success serving in a consultative capacity to senior business leaders, shaping department strategies and goals; experience includes mapping out broad talent strategies, owning the details and driving the execution
• Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience collaborating and consulting with HR functional groups (i.e. comp, benefits, recruiting, learning and development, etc.)
• Proven ability to analyze HR data and present findings and key reports back to the business
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to articulately deliver presentations to senior management
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills; ability to influence all levels of employees
• Polished consultation, resolution and negotiation abilities
• Ability to resourcefully develop trust & establish himself/herself as a credible strategic business partner
• Ability to operate and prioritize in a fast-moving & demanding environment and deal with complex situations
• Ability to adapt and flex solutions to meet changing demands: anticipates local, regional, global impact of solutions
• Strong analytical mindset with an ability to synthesize data
• Advanced knowledge of HR policies, laws and regulations
• Passion for delivering strong customer service and optimal results
• Ability to think big but also be willing to be hands-on
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data accuracy when handling employee information
• Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (Workday preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
