Corporate risk includes approximately 40 associates with focus on (1) identifying and escalating firm-wide issues; (2) overseeing Business Unit counterparty risk; (3) establishing and maintaining a firm-wide governance for User Defined Applications and Quantitative Models, (4) serving a center of excellence for independent model validation; and (5) lastly supporting Diversified Investments companies’ risk management programs.
The Team
This position will be a key member on Corporate Risk’s team responsible for managing Fidelity’s Model Governance and Counterparty Risk. As a senior risk manager, you will:
• Support & enhance Fidelity’s Model Governance Program and manage model risk reporting.
• Create and deliver training on policy, standards and procedures
• Measure, monitor and report counterparty risk and limits and enhance tools and reports related to credit and market risks
• Establish and cultivate relationships with the lines of business, model validation teams, and risk management staff
• Support ad-hoc report requests for analysis and/or research
The Expertise You Have
• Education MBA or Masters in a relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services
• CFA preferred
The Skills You Bring
• 5 years’ experience in financial markets, securities, and institutions.
• A background in banking.
• Willingness and capacity to learn complex financial concepts.
• Excellent communication skills in both formal and informal settings (written and verbal)
• Excellent problem solver and project management skills
The Value You Deliver
We have key and targeted multi-month initiatives (e.g., model inventory updates, and model governance pilot projects) that have already been endorsed by the Business Units and awaiting execution in Q4 2017 and 2018. Additionally, we have been tasked to create an enterprise wide dashboard to monitor and report counterparty risk. The new person will enable us to enhance and automate our processes in order to identify and report problems with better agility.
