Job Description
Position Description
Lead DevOps transformation team in the areas of Continuous integration, Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure Configuration Management and Test Automation areas
Job Responsibilities
• Manage a large, high level technical area or a large-scale new development with direct impact to organization-wide objectives
• Establish operational objectives and assignments and delegate assignments to direct reports
• Responsible for managing key IT resources including employees, contractors, and suppliers to deliver key business functionality
• Manage offshore teams to support Development and Production Support activities
• Allocate and direct resources to accomplish tasks, and maintain control of schedule(s) and deliverable quality
• Work as delivery lead for complex platform by following Cloud, Microservices and API strategies
• Provide direction and oversight to project teams in design, develop, deploy and sustain solutions that meet applicable business requirements
• Responsible for a set of projects and/or releases including deliverables, cost, schedule, quality and status reporting
• Interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers
• Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with key business leaders to understand their strategy and vision
• Work with business stakeholders to support strategic business initiative by bringing value based and practical technology innovations and solutions
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with vendor teams and vendor management.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of technology experience
• 5+ years of management experience in an IT environment
• 5+ years of experience coaching and developing a team
• 2 + years of senior leadership experience collaborating at the executive level
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
• Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers
• Financial services industry experience
• Ability to deliver results with speed and agility
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
• Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
• Expertise in project management including project planning and estimating, project budgeting, staffing, change control, and status reporting
• Ability to work in an advisory capacity to identify key technical and business problems, develop and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations
