The Digital Marketing Strategist will manage content for Principal Global Investor websites, including designing layouts within the content management system (CMS) and creating content. This role will provide input on the digital strategy and goals for the global websites, digital campaigns, sales and service enablement, and mobile programs. Specific tasks include needs assessments, design and development specifications, wireframe creation, template development, content editing, training, documentation, QA, release management and analytics monitoring.
Key responsibilities include:
• Create high-level page content and layouts (static and interactive wireframes) to illustrate information architecture concepts for campaign landing destinations, as well as continually optimize existing content globally
• Interact with IT, marketing, product, public relations and compliance teams to create content that supports the overall digital strategy
• Work with data analysts, SEO and on-site search experts to identify clear goals and provide the User Experience (UX) perspective to marketing content developers
• Consult with other departments, product groups and external providers as they gather, synthesize and format company and product information for digital delivery
• Identify digital KPIs for each project or campaign
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 8 years’ experience plus 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing required
• Direct experience creating and publishing content via CMS required
• Exceptional writing and proofreading skills required
• Proven wireframing, HTML and CSS experience required
• Experience with Photoshop, Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
• Excellent sense of digital design aesthetics preferred
• Experience using workflow tools to manage the completion of deliverables such as JIRA, Microsoft Project or Percolate, among others preferred
• Experience leveraging data from multiple sources to develop reports and find key learnings that drive optimizations preferred
Successful candidates will also have the following:
• Knowledge of UX (site mapping, wireframing), digital content strategy (articulating a vision for how words, images and media will work together within the UX to tell the story and achieve tactical goals), development (content management systems, web application or databased design/integration) and usability required
• Experience with digital campaign strategy development, project brief creation, A/B testing, multi-variate testing and related tools
• Prior experience with UX and application of Google Analytics 360 preferred
• Excellent planning/organizational, problem solving, presentation, and analytical skills required
• Requires advanced oral and written language skills; listening; accuracy; attention to detail, design, innovation and time management
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. Must be able to provide on-call support for job responsibilities
• Proactive team player with a love for content challenges
