Responsible for leading data support for business initiatives. Plans, develops, and executes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Translates business requirements into clear technical specifications for technical teams.
This exciting position offers significant enterprise-wide exposure and a tremendous opportunity to become an expert in a key functional area.
The Project Manager will enhance authorization rules, develop authorization strategies, and leverage new data into authorization rules, work with cross-functional business partners to implement new payment technologies, enterprise-wide new initiatives, track authorization performance, and continuously improve processes and key performance metrics. The role is also responsible for enhancing customer experience related to point of sale transactions. The role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, excellent SAS/SQL/Hadoop skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work proactively, effective communication skills, cross-functional relationship management, people management and project management experiences are required.
Responsibilities
• Develop and refine authorization rules to improve approval rate, control risk, enhance customer experience, while adhering to policy and regulatory requirements
• Closely monitor authorization performance and identify opportunities to enhance authorization system capabilities and improve authorization decision quality
• Work closely with business partners to ensure authorization rules and strategies are implemented accurately and completed on time
• Improve customer experience related to transaction authorization by reducing declines and optimizing customer communication
• Provide thought leadership to business partners on enterprise-wide new initiatives as authorizations SME
• Leverage rich authorization data to refer accounts to business partners for treatment, such as credit line management, marketing, and customer service
• Present findings and recommendations to business partners and senior management
• Identifies and solves issues and clarifies management objectives.
• Ensures successful implementation of chosen solutions
• Manages and directs the identification and resolution business issues.
Skills:
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Programming, Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative field
• 4+ years of professional experience with 2+ years of analytical experience in Data Processing and Analytics, Quality Control, Programming, or related field
• Proven track record of independently managing a project end to end in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Experience with project management in a corss-functional corss site environment
• Extensive experience in SAS, SQL, Excel, Power Point and Word
• In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Data Processing and Analytics, Quality Control, Programming, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
