The Fleet Channel Sales Division of Corporate Payment Systems is seeking a Business Development Consultant. The position will be homebased and can live preferably in any state west of the Mississippi. Will develop profitable new Fleet card business account relationships and increase profitability from existing accounts or agent bank relationships within the assigned territory. Will partner with the U.S. Bank Wholesale and Treasury banking partners. Identifies business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services. Makes sales presentations to existing and prospective clients informing them of benefits of using a fleet, maintenance card and services to meet their needs. Implements and maintains an effective referral network and call program to promote sales. Will travel nationally.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Nine to 11 years of financial sales experience
• Ability to travel (local, regional, national)
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Preferably (Five) to (Ten) years of Fleet Card, Corporate Card, Purchasing Card, or financial sales experience
• Well-developed sales and new business development skills
• Advanced knowledge of commercial payment products
• Advanced knowledge of CPS products, services, operations, policies and procedures
• Thorough knowledge of product marketing, client service issues, and organization operations
• Strong marketing and negotiating skills, emphasizing the development of sales strategies and goals
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service/relation skills with ability to creatively resolve client concerns and issues
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
