Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsibe to ensure the continued growth of the Bank's Residential Loan portfolio by generating sales of residential mortgage loans via company provided leads and other business referral sources such as attorneys, relators, CPA's, CFP's, etc. Cross sells other retail products to deepen customer relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Effectively builds ongoing relationships with multiple contacts including, customers, employees, peers and superiors to create a professional network through proactive communication. Ensures timely and responsive customer contact, needs based selling techniques and by adhering to all applicable guidelines.
• Conducts interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine financing objectives and advises customer on product/pricing/process. Recommends and outlines terms of loan and informs and educates prospective borrowers of loan commitments. Gathers all required information and follows loan from application to closing, ensuring continued communication with the customer throughout the process.
• Participates in business related development opportunities, community and bank events to develop relationships and generate new business outside of the branch network including centers of influence, realtors, CPA's,attorneys. Meets or exceeds individual goals as well as cross sells retail products to deepen customer relationship based on clients needs.
• Ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of all lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements such as TRID, ECOA, HMDA, CRA, Reg Z., FCRA, etc. Obtains and keeps current, all required licenses such as NMLS, SAFE Act, etc.
• Ensures proper documentation and tracking of loan information using Loan Tracking system, CRM system and other reporting tools. Provides weekly/monthly/annual data to management, as required.

Requirements
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of banking or other professional experience.
• Superior sales and customer service skills.
• Must be able to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks on time.
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong technical skills.
• Must exhibit a polished and professional approach to work.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel required.
• Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences. Must be able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain NMLS license.
DESIRED
• 2-4 years of residential mortgage experience, including Reverse Mortgages
• Current NMLS license as well as a solid knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
