What this job involves
The Senior Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics is responsible for formalizing our offerings, value propositions, delivery model and team structure for the BI & Analytics organization. They create and manage high performing teams which not only deliver operational excellence but keep employees engaged and thriving; and in conjunction with the Digital Solutions leadership team, understands the firm’s strategy and goals and can translate those into the business opportunities.
This role is responsible for the Implementation & Sustainment teams for our BI & Analytics organization. These teams:
• Define best practices for engagement, delivery, and sustainment
• Provide resourcing for variable projects
• Provide best practices and support for On Account Dedicated and Variable Resourcing
• Maintain alignment with Digital Products on engineering and visualization standards
• Perform PAT product implementations
• BI & Analytic implementations resulting from Technology Consulting Roadmaps
• Implement new Corporate Solutions Account Transitions with JLL Technology
• Align with the Corporate Solutions Service Lines BI (IPS, PDS, IFM)
• Provide sales and pricing support to the CS and DS sellers and digital advisors
Responsibilities include:
Maximize Margin
• Identify new operational efficiencies in order to maximize gross margin.
• Oversee project resourcing to ensure project success and maximum billability.
• Ensure timely and profitable service delivery across the business unit.
• Review and evaluate reports to track activities and service level attainment. Utilize report data to adjust business line strategy as needed.
• Provide business line reports and strategy updates to the Managing Director on a regular basis.
People Management
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, onboarding, mentoring, motivation and management of staff.
• Craft and maintain succession plans for central positions. Work with management team to ensure succession and/or growth and development plans are in place for their teams.
• Create and support employee development and training programs.
• Actively participate in the Personnel Review Process. Provide regular performance feedback to personnel, and communicate the importance of the process to the business line. Hold management team accountable to established expectations regarding frequency and documentation.
Project Delivery Management
• Develop or continuously enhance JLL’s Digital Solutions Project Delivery methodology.
• Ensure projects are completed according to company specifications and schedules and ensure that project goals/progress are properly documented.
• Provide in depth functional subject matter expertise and ability to direct clients through decision making processes for all areas of technology deployment.
• Leverage data and metrics to provide client and JLL success.
• Support use of the organizational tools to improve project delivery and client support.
• Maintain outstanding relationships with vendors and customers to understand requirements and monitor in relation to cost, quality, and schedules.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience
• High level skill with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT) required
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau required, and other data and statistical applications are a plus (PowerPivot, Tableau, SAS, Access, Minitab, Sigma Excel, SQL)
• Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written)
• Strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts with the ability to explain them to others
• Team-building - Key stakeholder and collaborators are geographically dispersed.
• Ability to generate results from ad hoc groups of disparate people is critical.
• Understanding of regional/cultural/contextual differences and allow for local expression without compromising global coherence.
• Experience with process improvement
• Ability to think broadly, create a shared vision, and embrace change as an opportunity
• Organizational Agility - Knowledgeable about how organizations work; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network.
• Process Improvement - Committed to continuous improvement through empowerment and management by data; is willing to re-engineer processes from scratch.
• Client Management - Understanding client needs and setting and managing appropriate client expectations within system, project, or contract constraints all while providing exceptional and enhanced customer service.
