Job Description:
• Work with IT systems personnel to ensure data accuracy and data requirements
• Support in Conducting NCCI and independent bureaus WC annual financial call data reporting
• Analyze the profitability and reserve need of casualty lines such as WC, GL and Auto
• Work closely with underwriting and claims to accurately identify loss trends and business mix changes
• Work closely with pricing actuaries to understand pricing trends and adequacy that will impact reserve estimates
• Monitor and examine profitability at a granular segmentation level
• Monitor rate, exposure, retention, new, lost business changes
• Monitor loss trends and relevant industry/regulatory changes and effectively communicate to the management
• Monitor and examine profitability of the commercial casualty lines by industry segment and country/region
• Develop actuarial reports to help business effectively manage existing portfolios
Job Requirements:
• BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area
• Successful completion of actuarial exams; ACAS strongly desired
• Three to five years or more actuarial experience in commercial casualty lines (e.g. WC, GL, Excess, and Auto) pricing preferred
• Familiarity with NCCI and independent bureaus annual financial call data reporting is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, VBA, SAS, R or other programming languages preferred
• Strong business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands
• Effective time management skill
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
