Global Commercial Services is a core operating group of American Express and has delivered robust growth over the past decade. GCS partners with corporate and small business clients to help them manage cash flow and increase profitability through a variety of automated expense management tools.
The Manager of Business Financing will provide leadership to 10 account development consultants and play a key role in the growth of our non-card lending business for the GCS SME segment in the US.
In this role the Manager will be responsible for all aspects of developing a high-performing team: recruitment, coaching, and performance management. As a newly forming team, the manager will also participate in the creation of standard processes and collaborate with marketing, product, and capability partners to drive success on one of GCS’ top priorities.
Qualifications
• Proven track record of driving results
• Experience leading teams - formal or informal (formal is preferred, but not required)
• Understanding of business payments and lending solutions
• Deep expertise in coaching and developing talent with both new hire and experienced talent
• Experience with both Sales and Account Development functional areas
• Passion for leading and driving high-visibility initiatives
