Job Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated, proactive professionals for our Financial Data Solutions (FDS) team, as we are continue on a multi-year strategic initiative to modernize the enterprise data infrastructure, regulatory reporting functions, and improve overall governance and controls.
As Analyst, your role consists of frequent interaction with business data owners, technology partners and risk and regulatory reporting teams. Qualified candidates will demonstrate the ability to define detailed data requirements, understand complex datasets, and expand on the organization’s informational assets.
Responsibilities:
• Work as a team member of 2-4 associates and analysts to focus on key deliverables within the transformation initiatives, primary focus on Data, Finance, Risk and Reporting
• Utilize rigorous data governance standards, including: data management, change management protocols, mapping and documentation procedures
• Apply impeccable data standards to data mining, data cleansing, data modeling, data lineage, and the use of advanced queries
• Build high-impact data visualizations and dashboards for use with business intelligence platforms to illustrate complex data concepts
• Develop algorithms, applications, and data transformation procedures
• Execute testing scripts and provide detailed technical feedback for tools
• Query and interpret data, perform trend analysis using customized analytical techniques, and analyze results alongside team members
• Execute tactical efforts to include data modeling, querying, and visualizations
• Provide expertise to internal teams on data related topics
• Provide meaningful status reports on data team initiatives in a rigorous, data-driven manner
• Create reports and manage refresh cycles for stakeholders
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of overall professional experience or applicable internships and academic background
• Working knowledge of banking product(s), with primary experience in operations, accounting, regulatory reporting and/or data analysis required
• Experience working on cross-functional teams to achieve specific objectives, deliver high quality products, and demonstrate accountability for quality results
• Excel and succeed in a complex, unpredictable, and ambiguous environment – must be able to deliver results given any circumstance
• High proficiency in statistical methods and data analytics
• Ability to communicate data topics clearly and concisely to non-data professionals
• Strong collaborative, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Well versed with MS Office suite of products
• Well versed in data modeling, business intelligence, and data visualizations
• Strong background in querying and decomposing SQL scripts
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/economics/engineering/technology (STEM) or related field preferred
