Job Title Manager, Strategic Sourcing
Strategic Sourcing Manager

This role will lead complex, enterprise-wide strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for the procurement of goods and services in the enterprise IT categories, including telecom and data network services, hardware, software and IT services. This role will be accountable for up to $100M in annual spend and is expected to have regular interactions with C-level executives. This individual will be expected to lead teams of key cross-functional stakeholders through structured strategic sourcing processes to develop superior commercial relationships with a wide range of IT suppliers. They will collaborate with colleagues across the enterprise on business, legal, financial, technical, performance and security requirements. This role will leverage the purchasing power of the enterprise to drive measurable improvements and increase Fiserv’s competitive advantage.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Lead complex, enterprise-wide strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate across multiple business units and in a global context with colleagues in technology, financial and business roles at multiple levels.
• Conduct market research and maintain a working knowledge of current business trends including industry changes, cost drivers, global pricing, market conditions and economic indicators in order to identify new and/or alternate sources of supply, as needed.
• Conduct ongoing benchmark reviews and perform complex financial analysis, projections and evaluations of supplier proposals for existing and new contracts.
• Influence and drive collaboration between cross-functional stakeholders for the development and execution of enterprise sourcing strategies and facilitation of strong partnerships between Fiserv and its strategic suppliers.
• Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure compliance to sourcing and contracting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify cost savings opportunities.
• Own specific supplier relationships and ensure the ongoing management of performance, quality, cost, contractual commitments, etc.
• Participate in regular supplier business reviews that address supplier performance, technology roadmaps, business growth strategies and supply market changes.
• Prepare and give business reviews to senior management regarding sourcing and contracting progress and actions to close.
Core Competencies:
• Proactive, curious, highly ethical and productive.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage large, complex, strategic enterprise-wide projects with aggressive milestones, significant risk components and an annual financial value up to $50M.
• Experience and success using a structured strategic sourcing process.
• Highly effective negotiator with an ability to influence executives both internally and externally.
• Strong organizational awareness, and ability to plan and make decisions using sound judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communications directed at internal and external parties as well as towards the development of RFx’s, contract documents and executive presentations.
• Proven leadership and influence through active participation and facilitation of sourcing projects, contract negotiations, category strategy development, supplier reviews, executive briefings and other relevant meetings.
• Proactive and collaborative approach delivering superior internal client engagement.
• Experienced in conducting market research and utilizing third party firms to assess the competitiveness and forward-looking opportunities within strategic enterprise agreements.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience required
Preferred Qualifications for consideration:
• CPM or CPSM Certifications
• MBA
• Business related experience in a Strategic Sourcing role with evidence of increases in scope and level of responsibility
Travel Required: Percentage/frequency of travel <=10%
