Position Overview
The Single Family Finance Division is seeking a Business Process and Data Analysis Manager to create and manage data processes, reporting and analysis for the Single Family FP&A group. In addition to leading the execution of planning, forecasting and trend analysis, this role will drive the evolution and enhancements of the group’s technical and analytical capabilities. Through hands-on management and process development, your work will be used by the business leaders to monitor key trends and enable strategic decisions.
Responsibilities include:
• Leading the data process development and management for key business reporting, trends and analysis, including market share, ROE, capital, servicing delinquency and loss severity and various industry comparisons
• Managing and coaching the team to meet schedules and deliver high value, accurate deliverables
• Taking the lead to recommend improvements and simplification to business processes to enable greater efficiencies and better utilization of data for analysis and reporting
• Performing regular and ad-hoc analytics, business process reviews and making recommendations to drive the effective and efficient management of the group’s data
• Helping to connect business drivers and initiatives with observable trends to provide senior management with value added business intelligence
• Collaborating with the business on a frequent basis with emphasis on strong customer service
• Supporting forecasting and variance analysis
Qualifications
• Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience and 2+ years management experience
• BA/BS degree in IT, Finance or Accounting or equivalent practical experience
• High level of proficiency with SAS and SQL
• Strong process management skills including organizational and planning abilities
• Demonstrated ability to produce results, solve complex problems and lead teams in a challenging environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable presenting to various levels of the organization
Preferred Skills
• SAS and SQL programming ability is required, other technical skill sets such as database management, MS Office, etc. helpful but not required
• Experience in managing a team as well as interacting with business leaders to help develop optimal solutions around utilization of software, management of data, process efficiency and delivery of results
• Organized, strategically focused, detail oriented, self-starter and able to adapt to an evolving environment
• Knowledge of the Single Family mortgage industry is helpful but not required
