The Quality Assurance Analyst, Employee Benefits will review and assess employee benefits underwriting risk within company guidelines. Evaluate underwriter capability to determine quality of risk assessment that protects the company from adverse exposure and ensures UW offers are responsibly competitive to support the company's financial objectives. Quality reviews are completed and timely appropriate feedback is provided within established service level agreements. Identify areas of training opportunities and/or guideline clarity. Assist with guideline updates as needed. Support underwriter training objectives to include development of training materials, presentation of training seminars and mentoring of new UW trainees. Complete claims review and analysis. Assist with ad hoc project initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5+ years of Employee Benefits Underwriting experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated ability to assess complex cases, knowledge of underwriting terminology, manuals and systems. Demonstrable organizational and communication skills. Ability to track and identify trends in Underwriting. Demonstrate flexibility, commitment to team, open to change, work effectively and cooperatively with others. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills that include promoting/positioning our offer so as to maximize placement. Ability to present to internal and external audiences and tailor message according to audience. Consistently organizes and expresses ideas/assessments clearly and concisely.
