As a Senior Automation Manager you will be part of IAG’s Automation team in the New York office, liaising with the technical team located in Bangalore and elsewhere. As a member of the Automation team you will have an exciting opportunity to not only learn about AIG’s products and services and enhance your knowledge and skillsets as you work with the audit team across multiple businesses and functions but manage transformation efforts for the audit process and support creating innovative audit strategies including use of various types of automation and other emerging technologies.

You will gain a unique view of AIG, as part of planning and executing on all aspects of the audit process and risk assessment activities and will build close working relationships with business and functional leaders, colleagues across other assurance functions, and fellow team members.
Specific Responsibilities
• Responsible for management of offshore team handling technical automation post development-handoff
• Develop efficient, secure data models supporting various analytics and reporting tools (BluePrism, Pentaho, Kofax, ACL, SSRS/IS/AS, Qlik, Power BI, various scripting languages)
• Assist in UAT/Testing of automations pre-deployment
• Design and manage reporting system to track production metrics
• Effectively communicate status of automation team efforts to senior management
• Responsible for designing and implementing a data management solution, including security, and persistence of process results and data
• Insure timely resolution of process failures and communication with affected stakeholders
• Work closely with technical team to successfully implement SOX/Audit automation solutions
• Work closely with business SMEs, administrators, architects, and application teams to insure data is available and processes are performing well and within agreed upon SLAs
• Identify and procure data for Programmer Analysts, insuring minimal downtime related to data sourcing
• Maintain, tune, and support the Automation/ETL.OCR platforms on a day-to-day basis to insure high availability and efficiency
• Work closely with Management teams to achieve company business objectives
• Collaborate with intra-company technology teams and architects to define and develop solutions
• Insure compliance with AIG target state architecture standards and development standards
• Research and experiment with emerging technologies and tools related to Big Data to find efficiencies
• Work with the team to establish and reinforce disciplined software development, processes, standards, and error recovery procedures are deployed; ensuring a high degree of data quality
• Provide guidance and direction for Programmer Analysts to develop data and automation knowledge
• Some travel may be required
Qualifications
• 5-8 years of experience in and/or knowledge of systems and procedures, data sources, and data privacy requirements; knowledge of AIG systems and conventions strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology/Analytics or related field preferred
• Advanced IT skills required (BluePrism, Pentaho, Kofax, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, SAS, R, Python, ACL, VB, Qlik, Power BI, ACL, SSRS/IS/AS)
• Think independently and critically while pinpointing key risk areas based on expert knowledge
• Thoughtful and decisive behavior in dealing with challenging situations
• Strong communication (oral and written), presentation, and project management skills
• Strategic thinker who possesses and promotes a culture of intellectual curiosity
• Experience with auditing leveraging the use of data analysis tools is a plus
• Experience working in the financial services/insurance industries a plus
