Position Highlights
Responsible for leading all aspects of participant services communication. Provide effective and timely communication to Participant Services associates utilizing a multi-channel strategy that engages them throughout all change. Develops and implements strategies and programs to communicate Participant Services business objectives, culture and values to its employees. This position oversees the alignment of communications plans with the strategic direction and positions of Empower Retirement. Coordinate with key internal teams to ensure preparation and execution of all communication strategies, to include HR, Training, Technology, Transformation, Strategy Innovation Management, Product, RM, Operations, SDS, WFO and Senior Participant Services Leadership. Conducts periodic review of results post change with associates and internal teams as needed and addresses any gaps in communication and resources.
Primary Responsibilities
• Lead all aspects of participant services communication
• Develop, produce and execute communication plans for Participant Services
• Proactively prepare for change and lead related communication strategies, resource development and training programs
• Ensure all messaging aligns with key business strategies
• Partner with and develop key relationships with transformation, product, and operations teams
• Create and facilitate effective communication channels that provide open, direct, and respectful forums to manage expectations, operational priorities, quality and timeline objectives, and conflict resolution.
• Mentor key associates to become advocates and experts for change management throughout the department
• Develop and disseminate participant services updates to internal partners (products, RM’s, operations, Technology)
• Oversee maintenance of Participant Services resources/knowledge base
• Oversee and provide ongoing development for a team of direct reports
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or Communication or equivalent work experience
• FINRA series 6 registration permitted, but not required. Corporate-established timelines apply to permitted registrations.
• FINRA fingerprinting required.
• 5-7 years of experience in overseeing internal and/or external communication
• 2 years or more of leadership experience, preferably in a call center environment
• Experience driving organizational communication strategy
• Knowledge of retirement plan industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to advocate for ideas and influence others
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
• Problem solving skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication, management, interpersonal and leadership skills required
• Effective skills in MS Office products
