JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the management and daily coordination of employee production in Trust Operations Department. Specifically oversees the following functions: Trust Accounting Services Team, Trust Securities Processing Team, and/or Trust Product Services Team. Serves as a backup for the Trust Operations and Business Systems Department Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages staff and workflow;
• Trains employees and develops plans for cross training of staff in order to provide coverage for continuity of service;
• Monitors established controls;
• Reviews and approves daily work;
• Identifies inefficiencies and implements new procedures;
• Reviews monthly reconciliation exceptions;
• Works with System Administration on system issues and enhancements;
• Authorizes wire transfers;
• Meets with internal customers and external vendors;
• Assists with annual budgeting;
• Participates on department project implementations as assigned.
• May involve performing duties with respect to the bank’s Registered Transfer Agent, and be subject to all the regulations and requirements applicable thereto.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent amount of training and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
• 5 years of Trust, securities, or bank operations experience.
• 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Access, Excel).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve management objectives.
• Ability to review work for accuracy, recognize and research potential problems and resolve issues based on industry/trust knowledge and experience.
• Ability to manage a budget.
• Ability to evaluate status of customer business relationships.
• Must be able to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with all levels of internal and external clients.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
• Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions
• Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
• Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
• Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
