Job Summary
Under the direction of the Fraud and Risk Manager, assist in the collection and analysis of transaction authorizations. As the primary user and subject matter expert of FDR's Spend Trend Insights analytics tool, provide detailed analysis of fraud trends to identify and mitigate risk and financial losses from compromises of customer information through proactive analysis. Work with debit card authorization and fraud management and debit card portfolio and authorization analytics database systems to provide management reporting. Assist the Fraud and Risk Manager in recommending, implementing and analyzing changes to the debit card portfolio authorization and fraud management system. The position must be able to analyze data, communicate effectively, prepare and process all pertinent documentation to resolve fraud issues and manage risks and losses from customers' accounts. This position is expected to take appropriate action based on account and transaction characteristics on routine issues and has decision making ability, which directly affects the risk to the bank. Research, analyze and make recommendations to management on appropriate protection of compromised debit cards.
Compliance Statement
Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesn’t meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associated’s anonymous Ethics Hotline.

Job Accountabilities
Subject matter expert for the debit card portfolio and authorization analytics database system. Build and generate customer reporting from the debit card portfolio and authorization analytics database and the debit card authorization and fraud management system.
Makes proactive risk mitigation recommendations based on investigation and analysis and in response to customer/business partner inquiries. Test and implement changes to the debit card authorization and fraud management system to limit fraudulent transactions while providing quality customer service levels related to authorization activity.
Participates in both long-term and short-term projects related to current and future risk management programs ensuring Associated Bank estimated fraud losses are minimized and that rule performance is optimized.
Assists management with process improvement efforts and recommend changes to risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and client based requirements.
Analyzes and evaluates fraud system data integrity and makes recommendations for enhancements.
Develop and create ongoing reporting related to all loss prevention and fraud activities.
Assist in the card reissue process in the case of a card compromise and provide updates to the Retail Risk Committee through the Incident Management procedures.
Provides direct support of Associated card portfolio risk management programs from a risk consulting perspective.
Participate in industry groups (i.e. FDR, MasterCard, Visa, Fair Isaac) that focus on fraud trends and prevention strategies and use that information to better our fraud prevention tactics and search for fraud within our portfolio.
Work with information security and processors to identify common points of compromise in fraud cases and implement appropriate processes to prevent future losses.
