Responsibilities
As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the project
• Prepare deliverables
• Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
• Ensure you are adhering to compliance matters
• Work on developing internal relationships and your PwC brand
Preferred skills
• A role in our Financial Services Tax practice will provide the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. Our team helps clients navigate the frequently changing & complex tax environment related to stringent capital requirements & management of operational tax risks. You’ll help our clients with tax structuring while addressing the challenges of the continuously changing tax world.

CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of public accounting practices, internal domestic insurance tax departments or internal foreign insurance departments. Working knowledge of the production of tax returns and their supporting work papers for the insurance industry.
Some technical skills with FAS 109, FIN 48, and the insurance industry. Working experience identifying and addressing client needs: building solid relationships with clients; developing an awareness of Firm services; communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor. Working experience as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced staff.
