Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager and working collaboratively with the OD team and subject matter experts, the Advisor will contribute to the research, development and support of the delivery of professional development learning curricula and solutions. These solutions will build talent capabilities required to uphold a high-performing, global organization capable of delivering on our mandate.
Role Specific Accountabilities
• Work with the Senior Manager and/or external vendors to identify and develop ‘best in class’ learning solutions aligned with business goals
• Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of instructional material for the delivery of blended learning solutions including instructor-led sessions, e-learning programs, self-study materials to maximize the learners’ experience
• Build a strong network of professionals internally to be used as subject matter experts or as a sounding board to ensure the development of business relevant training materials
• Program manage plans, information and documents related to each training program
• Independently research, identify and track ‘best in class’ external training providers, courses and sources for professional development
• Review learning performance data to monitor and measure learning program effectiveness
• Produce insightful analysis of learning data and recommend potential learning solutions/options based on analysis
• Maintain and keep current on relevant learning and development trends and research adopting best practices to incorporate into the development of curricula programming
• Contribute to or lead other Organizational Development programs or projects as assigned, ensuring quality, on-time, and on budget-completion
• Actively participate in team meetings by providing input and ideas into program initiatives
Qualifications
• University degree ideally with post-grad/certification in training or instructional design
• Solid working knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design and development experience implementing creative solutions including e-learning
• Experience within financial and/or professional service organizations is an asset
• Consulting orientation building and maintaining relationships effectively with people at all levels
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, with an ability to produce high-quality work efficiently under tight timeframes and effectively prioritize multiple projects
• Ability to learn new skills in a fast-paced, performance-based environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Takes initiative and proactively seeks opportunities to add value
• Experience with Web-based learning platforms and/or LMS will be considered an asset
