Job Description
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the oversight of key functional areas within Treasury Management Services. In addition, this position develops and improves on efficiencies between the operations, product development, sales and treasury management teams. This position also works with customers as well as all relevant departments to improve on current and future services.
Principal Responsibilities:
Collaborates with relevant business areas in order to identify and manage customer impact; and to ensure that managed functional areas and staff effectively support functional, divisional and bank-wide initiatives.
Manages the planning, oversight and development of ongoing treasury management customer services. Creates enhanced efficiencies within functions through maximization of all resources including personnel, technology, and processes. Sponsors and oversees improvement projects.
Presents information, analysis, and recommendations to top management to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategies.
Develops and executes strategy working collaboratively with Product Management, Operations, IT and other relevant business areas to ensure achievement of all goals in support of tactical and strategic plans and objectives.
Maintains expertise and keeps informed of developments and trends in the industry to monitor the organization’s competitive market position. Stays up to date on regulatory changes and requirements. Identifies effective customer service initiatives to facilitate growth.
Leads effective service level management and coaching and development of employees through the consistent use of disciplined processes. Ensures that opportunities are afforded to staff to develop and maintain their skills at the highest standards.
Exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning performance improvement plans and reviews, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Coaches, develops and inspires staff to maximize their potential.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
Job Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements:
College degree or equivalent work experience.
7 - 9 years relevant experience
Behavioral/Technical Skills:
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills are necessary to effectively convey goals and initiatives to staff and management.
Theoretical and practical experience in treasury management legal/regulatory compliance, products, sales, marketing and management.
Outstanding ability to interpret financial results and business indicators to identify trends and opportunities and to develop innovative and effective business plans in response.
Effectively influences outcomes to key issues.
Strong ability to balance and respond to competing needs within the organization.
Outstanding ability to inform, educate and influence management and team members to support corporate goals and objectives.
Builds constructive and effective working relationships; diffuses high tension situations using diplomacy and tact, minimizing the impact to the business environment.
Excellent ability to coach, train and motivate employees to support department goals and objectives. Excellent ability to provide feedback that supports employee development.
Strong PC skills required, including word processing, spreadsheet, internet and industry standard software.
