GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Prepares loan documentation based upon information submitted from lenders or loan assistants. Insures loan documents are accurate, in compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements and security documents will insure lien perfection while meeting time/date requirements in a production environment for consumer, commercial, and real estate loans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prescreens loan requests to insure accurate documentation/information has been received in order to proceed with request. This duty is performed daily, about 90% of the time.
2. Reviews closing settlement statement before releasing documents to insure compliance with regulatory requirements. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
3. Understand and recognize when exceptions to bank policy and procedures are present. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
4. Accurately assign various loan codes to meet regulatory and company reporting requirements. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
5. Prepare loan documents based upon information submitted from lenders or loan assistants, and ensure all regulatory and state requirements have been met. This duty is performed daily, about 90% of the time.
6. Process preliminary RESPA and Regulation Z disclosures as applicable. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
7. Answer phone requests and inquiries promptly and professionally. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
8. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed annually, about 2% of the time.
9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but not limited to interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
No supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must possess strong communication skills and good documentation/organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision and tight schedules.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Twelve months of demonstrated lending experience required. Excellent customer service skills and a minimum of one year banking experience. Experience with Microsoft Office suite such as Word, Excel, and Outlook a must. Applicant should have experience servicing customer needs in fast-paced environment.
