Job Description
Job Brief:
•This position is responsible for the collection of past due receivables and arranging the work-out of past due contracts on behalf of Key Equipment Finance (KEF). KEF provides financing (loans/leases) for commercial clients across multiple industries. The Senior Specialist is responsible to engage with internal and external clients to resolve a wide variety of collection/customer service issues. Collectors are expected to maintain a positive client experience while reducing delinquency to the lowest possible level.
•Essential Job Function:
•Responsible for identifying portfolio risk and investigating the reason for default. This individual will need to demonstrate a strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, able to work in a fast paced environment, and superior collection and skip tracing abilities.
•Contact high net worth companies to resolve payment issues
•Utilize independent judgment to analyze the merchants ability to pay and establish a repayment plan
•Discuss alternative solutions based on a review of financial and bank statements
•Document all communications with business owners related to discoveries and investigations
•Offer assistance to the Senior members on the team to create supportive foundation
•Proficient PC user, including experience with Microsoft Office suite and Outlook
•Assist in other areas of the company, as needed, to ensure service levels and financial targets are exceeded
• Ability to use experience to provide innovative ideas to improve client experience
• Ensure all parties are clear on resolution and/or status of their account
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and problem solving skills
Required Qualifications:
•1-3 years of experience in collection capacity
•Strong written and verbal communications skills
•Proficient at multi-tasking
•Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
•Exceptional attention to detail
•Maintain composure under pressure and in confrontational situations
•Willingness to work flexible hours
•Ability to work within a team setting with all levels of the organization
•Ability to work Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
•Preferred Qualifications:
Previous leasing/financial/credit experience
