This internship will be part of First Tennessee's LOAN OPERATIONS group.
Position is located in WINSTON SALEM, NC
This Internship will provide:

Our Internship program is a 9 week PAID program that starts on Monday, June 3, 2019 and runs through Friday, August 2, 2019.
Intern Objective:
The Loan Operations division supports the many different parties involved in making and servicing consumer and commercial loans. The division is comprised of several teams, all of which support internal customers such as: lenders, underwriters, processors, closing officers, product managers, auditors, compliance officers, customer service agents, and many other types of employees. The teams within the Loan Operations division manage several vendor relationships as well. The Intern will be exposed to a wide range of jobs, tasks, and processes that exist in Loan Operations.
Value for the Intern:
• Learn to identify and analyze various loan related documents
• Understand the life cycle of consumer and commercial loans
• Introduction to legal, compliance, and audit requirements related to the origination and servicing of loans
• Opportunities to demonstrate research, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities to investigate a variety of items, assist with daily production activities, and assist with various operational activities
• Introductions to several teams within the Loan Operations division (document triage/imaging; collateral management; loan document review/audit/tracking; compliance management)
• Share ideas for process improvements, efficiency gains, and/or procedural design
• Exposure to a wider variety of topics and several different roles and teams within the lending organization
Delivery:
• The Intern will be integrated into teams for short-term projects and work alongside FTB employees
• Cross-functional work with different teams, both within and outside of Loan Operations
• One-on-one and team discussions
Job Description:
The Intern may be required do any or all of the following:
• Review and analyze reports
• Triage, image and file documents
• Data entry and review
• Write/test procedures
• Process various types of operational transactions
• Prepare documents for filing
• Investigate problems to resolution
• Attend team meetings and huddles
• Participate in group or individual projects
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Average 40 hours per week.
Requirements
**2.75 GPA Required**
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years in a college degree program
• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Good organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong written/verbal communication skills and must be comfortable communicating with all levels of management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on simultaneous projects or initiatives
• Must be a proficient multi-tasker and comfortable taking direction from multiple people
• Good analysis, research, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with general office administrative and clerical tasks
