This new management position is in the Information & Insights Manager Results Analysis functional group, which provides results measurement and portfolio analytics for investment analysts and portfolio managers.
As a manager based in Los Angeles, you will lead activities and operations related to enabling “The Capital System” (multiple portfolio manager system) objectives, from implementation to measurement, inclusive of operational readiness, technological integration, analytics and insights. You will manage, coach, develop and oversee a team of 5-6 associates and an in-flight system re-platform program. You will have the opportunity to enhance capabilities and services and help set the strategic direction for your group.
Responsibilities Include:
• Design effective presentations of complex and sensitive portfolio results and characteristics.
• Serve as solution architecture liaison for proprietary Capital System operational technology and self-service reporting.
• Define internal and external usage standards, data quality standards, and oversight for portfolio and transaction analytics.
• Develop working relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in order management, technology, and other.
• Assist in guiding the direction and day-to-day operations of this group, by providing clear goals, high expectations, coaching and development.
• Provide global and strategic context and end-to-end clarity for associates when sharing information and making decisions.
• Serve as business owner and subject matter expert for one or more internal or external industry applications.
• Lead ad-hoc large strategic projects and small projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, mathematics, computer science or other quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in analytical/quantitative business role.
• Familiarity with investment management, brokerage or global finance.
• High attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
• High service orientation, integrity and behavior.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
