Summary
The Sr. Engagement Specialist, Thrivent Member Network (Sr. Eng. Specialist) role is primarily responsible for the support of deployed Specialist staff working in the areas of engagement, strategy development and tactical implementation, and communications to support the regional Member Networks. This individual is responsible for supporting a deployed team by contributing to the development or marketing strategies that support the region, the lodge and the organization’s brand. The successful candidate will be able to work with multiple individuals to develop trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. While supporting local engagement efforts through the deployed staff, this person will also need to leverage market data and analytics to influence success of programs, initiatives and continuously improve upon results. They will need to continuously seek ways to leverage technology and emerging engagement activities to drive more effective and impactful activation, marketing, strategy and tactics. The successful candidate will help implement an enterprise approach to member engagement and activation which leads to regional impact in such a way as they feel that they are part of something bigger and want to invite others on this Wise with Money Journey.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop expert knowledge of Thrivent, what the organization offers through engagement and activation, and of market segments, regional demographics and activators.
• Support and actively engage with Specialists in key activities including:
◦ Tactical implementation
◦ Proper use of funds
◦ Communication support (including: written communication, webinars, social media, engagement events).
◦ Analysis of local and enterprise success outcomes
• Work with Specialists in the development, implementation and evaluation of engagement activity.
• Assist in the creation, planning, and execution of national offerings to be implemented at a local level, in support of a national Wise With Money Journey movement.
• Collaborate with enterprise and local partners to provide a brand appropriate message and experience.
• Develop collateral to be used across the Networks – providing centralized support when appropriate.
• Plan, create and produce content for social networking.
Required Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• Prefer a minimum of three years of progressive experience within a non-profit, financial services, membership owned organization, fraternal benefit society, or comparable organization.
• Strong organizational planning, community-based activity approach and constituent relations
• Strong writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
• Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
• Ability to think strategically, unafraid to take on the unknown with purpose
• Strong project management skills
• Familiarity with the Innovation and Design process beneficial
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid change
• Knowledge of financial services industry, fraternal benefit societies, or membership organizations a plus
• Dedication to diversity and building inclusive teams
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and evaluate financial commitments in relation to success outcomes
This position can be located anywhere and will be remote.
